Thanks to our hostess, Beverly, for another

Today, I'm showing you some beautiful pink tulips. Such lovely harbingers of Spring! Here on the Gulf coast, we've been enjoying the most incredible February weather. Every day has been sunny, blue skies and temperatures in the 70's. Our little town has a full-time horticulturist on staff, so we have beautiful flowers year-round, all over town.

Everywhere you turn, there are camellia bushes (trees!) loaded down with blooms.

These camellias are growing in the back yard at my cottage. Despite living in the South, all my life, I can't remember ever seeing this candy-stripe variety of camellias. What a delight, to go outside with my coffee one morning, and find something so special!

  1. Just beautiful, enjoy the lovely flowers! We have a few more weeks to go:@)

  2. So lovely. Must be really pretty to drive along there and see such a pretty sight. I love the candy striped flowers too wouldn't that be an odd smell :D.... Bet they actually smell really nice! We have not bloomed here yet. I have tall green leaves ready for the daffodils, so it wont be to long before we have those pretty sunny yellow flowers.

  3. What beautiful flower photos.

  4. What gorgeous flowers!!!! I am so jealous of everyone with flowers. We still have snow ~ I must move to the South :)

  5. Happy Pink Saturday Tracy:)

Your camellias are exquisite. I think I will pull up a chair and join you on the patio for awhile. How pretty those candy stripe blooms are. I have never seen one double colored like that. It is beautiful.
