HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

Today, I'm happy to be joining Beverly  http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com for Pink Saturday.

I've always said that if my fairy godmother granted me one wish, I would wish to be artistic. Isn't going to happen!  But, I recently discovered a really fun place called "Life's A Canvas," and I go there every week and paint a picture. Now, I know it looks like elementary school art, but that's OK... because I'm having so much fun! This week, in honor of my birthday tomorrow, I painted myself a big cupcake.

 
Yesterday, I came home to find this beautiful flower arrangement on my front porch. My sweet sister sent it to me for my birthday. I don't get flowers very often, so this was very special!

Today, I'm showing you some beautiful pink tulips. Such lovely harbingers of Spring! Here on the Gulf coast, we've been enjoying the most incredible February weather. Every day has been sunny, blue skies and temperatures in the 70's. Our little town has a full-time horticulturist on staff, so we have beautiful flowers year-round, all over town.

Everywhere you turn, there are camellia bushes (trees!) loaded down with blooms.

These camellias are growing in the back yard at my cottage. Despite living in the South, all my life, I can't remember ever seeing this candy-stripe variety of camellias. What a delight, to go outside with my coffee one morning, and find something so special!

Another fun Pink Saturday, compliments of our hostess, Beverly

 It's February, and we enjoyed a fabulously beautiful day on the beach, at Ft. Morgan, Alabama, on the Gulf of Mexico. This is why we live in the Deep South! 

Can you see that I'm wearing a PINK tee shirt?!!! And, Cupcake has PINK bows in her hair!!!

Cowboy says, "No PINK for me!"

I wish I could say that this PINK house, belongs to me, but (deep sigh) it doesn't...

 And, I wish I had found this PINK shell today, but I didn't.


But, never mind...  I'm just truly grateful that I could spend a day in the warm sun and the warm sand, in the middle of winter.

Meet Little Miss Piglet! Can't remember where I got her, but I love her. Isn't she cute?



She's actually a footrest, but I couldn't bear to have anybody put her feet on her! So, she lives in my closet, next to the island. She knows, that way, I"ll visit her many times each day.



I put her up here, where she could look out the window while I take her picture. Don't you love her cute little pigtail with the pretty bow tied to it?

She told me that she wished I would take a more flattering picture of her. She thinks this picture makes her look fat!
