A post on pets is perfect for me! My life is full of dogs--- currently, we have 5 of our own and 2 grand-dogs who visit often. Several of our furry friends have passed away in the last few years, and we frequently seem to find lost dogs. We've had amazing luck, on several occasions, with reuniting lost dogs and their owners!
Here are our 5 residents:
Beau, a Golden Retriever
Daisy, a Golden Retriever
Jack, an Australian Shepherd mix
Cupcake and Cowboy, Maltese
Meet the grand-dogs!
Lola, a Maltese
Birthday girl!
Okami, a Huskie/wolf mix
Here are some temporary friends, whom we reunited with their owners.
Charlie
Lincoln
Ginger
Ginger was quite elderly when we found her, and we loved her for 2-1/2 years before happening upon her original owners one day. Quite a saga!
This is our neighbor, Charlotte
Dinner always tastes better at somebody else's house!
Our former "niece," Annabelle
Now, there's a girl with personality galore--- but, too many run-ins with skunks!
Our precious pets who have passed over Rainbow Bridge
R.I.P.
Oliver and Violet, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Scout, a shepherd/wolf mix
A legend...
Believe it or not, there have actually been a few other dogs, as well as some cats. But, that's a post for another time. Does anybody else have thousands of dog pictures? I must be crazy!

That's a lot of dogs! Funny how many of us have goldens. Must be because they are such great dogs!

Tracy - What a great post! I'm having a blast reading all of the pet posts that have linked to Alison's Party. So many pets out there that are loved, and so many without homes, and some lost. I love how you have reunited pets with their owners, and would love to hear about Ginger's story. What a great feeling that has to be! No, you are not crazy. I have lots of pictures of my pets, but honestly after seeing some of these posts, I'm thinking my animals aren't nearly as photogenic ~ but I love them just the same. Your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteTracy, that's the exact same place I bought the table in the entry. I think it was called Furniture Craftsman, back then. I used to love to go in there and just ramble through that big ole house and drool over the furniture. lol The two tapestry chairs (and ottoman) in my family room and the small table next to the wingback chair in the family room all came from there, too. The mirror above the entry table came from there, as well. Where did you buy you central vacuum system or did it come with your home? It was Vacuum World that I had checked and they went up so much on their pricing, I didn't do it. Wish I had now since you love yours. :)
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I love that you have Golden Retrievers! We brought our golden puppy home on Saturday and it's been a blur due to the lack of sleep! Please tell me it will get easier soon! Thanks for stopping by recently to comment on her pics!

Hi Tracy~ I love your canine crew :) Cupcake & Cowboy are SO cute and of course I'm partial to your boating-dog-friends! I'm sure the dog owners missing their dogs are forever in your debt! That Roger Caras quote~ it's a favorite of mine too!
