If y'all have been wondering what happened to me, I've continued to spend every possible moment enjoying the beautiful beaches of Destin. As of this past Sunday, we had seen no sign of the oil disaster. The waters were emerald green, thus giving name to The Emerald Coast. The beaches were the same pristine white sand, almost like powdered sugar, that I've enjoyed all my life. Whatever happens in the future, I will cherish these memories.

  4. The waters are emerald~ I had no idea! I'm praying for some miracle that the oil is magically contained and the beautiful beaches and wildlife aren't permanently altered.

  5. Love Love Love your area for crystal clear water. Thanks for sharing your water with me today. I am off to the beach as it is suppose to feel like 100 today with the humidity.

  6. We had a place in Destin for years. I am holding my breath for the oil to stay away - just the thought is heartbreaking. Enjoyed the photos.

  7. It is beautiful there. Your coast is so completely different from ours, such clear green water, and that powdery white sand. It's really breathtaking. I can't imagine what's to come of all of it if they don't make better progress with the spill, and soon.
I'm keeping our planet in my prayers, daily!
    Thanks for linking up today.

  8. Sure have missed you. I love Destin beaches. My dad lives there. Prettiest sand anywhere. Glad no oil there yet. Was that stingray there?? I would not want to see one of those in the water there.

  10. Destin is a great place to vacation. I have some friends who live in NE Texas and spend their summer vacation in Destin. I try to meet up with them when my schedule permits. Great photos of Destin Beach.

  13. Beautiful coast! I can't believe all the darn oil that is coming in on our shores. Hopefully you can return to the beach and find it untouched by the influx.
